Interior Design – Shanghai city in China has long been known to have a vibrant nightlife. Now, the evening entertainment in the modern city is livelier because of the presence of The Shelter Club, a nightclub at the former site of a bomb attack protection. The Shelter Club is a new club that alters the function of the basement as a place of entertainment.

This nightclub is one of thousands of former shelter space is spread across Shanghai. Chinese government to build shelters like this in the 1960s and 1970s because of fear of air raids of the post-Soviet tensions between the two countries.

Because it is below ground, the location of the Shelter is not easily achieved. Visitors must go through the door to narrow down the stairs and through a winding tunnel to the main room with cement walls without plaster.

The Shelter Club is located in Xuhui district, Shanghai. Buildings in the district were thick with the style of the French Concession. According to local officials, it is estimated there are 2,000 shelters tucked under the old and new commercial buildings in Xuhui.

Having eased tensions with the Soviet Union, the government places of shelter rents for market vegetable or massage parlors. But much is lost due to subway construction displaced. This does not stop the creative business owners who continue to seek a new location to build the business of bars, clubs and shops.

The business is believed to be growing in Shanghai. Moreover, The Shelter Club offers a fun business. Cold ambient temperatures will save the cost of drinks and food storage. However, it still needs a little touch to create an exciting atmosphere in the middle of a sinister and gloomy atmosphere.
