Solar Panel is a device consisting of a solar cell that can be used to change the Light Energy into Electrical Energy. The Sun or solar-called “sol”, this is because the sun is the strongest light source which can be exploited by this tool. Solar Panel Installation is also often referred to as photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic which can be interpreted as a “light-electricity”. And in this article, we will try to explain one simple example calculation of Solar Panel Installation.

There are two types of Solar Panel Installation to choose from, it is distinguished by the equipment used boosters. For an explanation of each installation, note the description below.

On Grid System Installation, is a Installation of Solar Panels without Using a Battery. The equipment used is On Grid Inverter can be in direct connection with the source of electricity or other power source.

Off Grid System Installation, is a Solar Panel Installation using battery. Off Grid System uses a DC system, the equipment used is the solar panel, controller, and battery. To convert it into AC current, the inverter must be added.

Installation of such equipment, can be done alone, especially for the Solar Panel Installation with a small capacity (60 wp). But for large scale and connected with a lot of housing or office network installation, would require special skills.

Calculation of Cost

As an example for the installed electric capacity of 450 watts, which need to be considered is the electrical capacity in use.

Electricity used for example as follows:

1 unit Refrigerator 100 watts, use 24 hours = 2400 wh
1 unit LCD 32 “80 watt, used for 5 hours = 400 wh
10 7 watt LED light, used for 10 hours = 700 wh
Total, 187 watts / hour = 3500 wh

From the above calculation, when the home installed an installed capacity of 450 Watts of electricity, which is used is equal to 187 watts per hour. If you add up the total electricity consumption per day is 3500 watt hours.

As for the picture the way a simple calculation to Install Solar Panels is:

Wh 3500: 130 wp (Solar Panel Type) = 26, 92
26.92 unit: 5 hours (Old heating per day) = 5384
5384 x 1.5 (Minimal power Autonomous) = 8.076, or 8 units (rounded figures).

The electricity generated is 8 units x 130 wp = 1040 watts per hour at peak heating (peak). Within a day, roughly 1040 to produce electricity for heating wp x 5 hours = 5200 wh.

So from these calculations for electrical loads mounted 450 watt, equivalent to the capacity of the System 1040 or 5200 wh wp can use eight units of 130 Wp panel type and power storage unit (battery) 12v 100 Ah capacity of 6 units, one unit of Battery Charge Control, and an inverter unit, bracket, panel box, battery box, and other supporting equipment.

For the next step is to calculate the investment that must be prepared for the Installation of Solar Panels. Calculation is easy: “System Capacity multiplied by USD 10 (approximate price)”. Using the example of the power calculation, the value of investments that must be spent during the initial installation is at 1040 x $ 10 = wp USD10.400. Examples of these calculations are for Installation Off the Grid system, while for the Installation of On Grid would be cheaper.

Solar Panel Installation calculation results above are approximate price, including installation costs, provision of equipment boosters, System Installation and Guarantee between one to three years, depending on the policy of managing the installation integrator. Meanwhile, for Solar Panels usually have a warranty for 25 years.
